A fun free event for the whole family!

Engage in live demonstrations, make crafts, and hear from local experts on a changing theme every month! Drop in to Willow Bend anytime 9:30-11:30am on the first Saturday of every month.

Once a month local experts teach about the natural world around Flagstaff through a hands-on activity, craft, or outdoor excursion.

Topics include wild foods, foraging, tracking, homemade herbal remedies, watercoloring, and more!

Community Events FAQ

  • Our Science Saturdays and many other events we do are Free!

    Our Adult Workshops typically have a cost but that includes take home materials.

    Each event will vary- check their specific event page for exact pricing.

  • Many of our events require advanced registration to attend. Check the event page for exact details.

    Our Science Saturday events are always open to drop in without registering.

  • Interested older kids (ages 12+) are welcome to join.

  • Potentially! Email info@willowbendcenter.org with what you have in mind. We may be able to accommodate a custom tour in most natural areas around Flagstaff, or do private indoor programs.
    Willow Bend does not provide transportation.
