Adult Workshop: Acorn Processing

Join us for a special workshop with visiting presenter Desert Tortoise Botanicals founder and herbalist John Slattery. A detailed approach to gathering, processing, and preparing acorns for food. There are so many things to do with acorns including cookies, bread, pizza crust, pancakes, gnocchi, crepes, falafel, burgers, and much more. John has been gathering, processing, eating, experimenting with, and researching acorns for over a decade. Workshop is held in partnership with Foodlink’s Sustainable and Local Food Workshop Series.
