Adult Workshop: Introduction to Fermentation

$25We are very excited to have Mike Dechter return for one more “Introduction to Fermentation” workshop.
The workshop will provide you with some basic knowledge about fermenting foods, both the scientific basis of how fermented foods affect health and the techniques used for at-home fermentation projects. Workshop participants will be able to sample various fermented foods including kombucha tea, vegetable ferments, sauerkraut, and honey ferments, at a “tasting station” and will go home with kombucha starter kit including a kombucha scoby, a starter amount of kombucha tea, and instructions on how to brew your own.
Workshop is led by Mike Dechter, ecologist and environmental planner who ‘s workshops are always informative, tasty, and fun!
This workshop is held in partnership with Foodlink’s Sustainable and Local Food Workshop Series.
