Flagstaff Watershed Protection Project Community Update

Interested in watershed protection? wondering what can be done to reduce fire risk?
Join the Flagstaff Watershed Protection Project (FWPP) and learn firsthand about ongoing FWPP operations. This community update event and workshop will briefly cover the history of FWPP, what the partnership accomplished to date, and explain current operations including FWPP phase 1 logging operations, ACE hand thinning operations the status of Phase 2 contracts (steep slope terrain which includes helicopter and cable). We will also highlight the partnerships that have made FWPP possible and successful.
Event is FREE and OPEN to the public. Sign-up required!

 

Event schedule:

8:30-9:00am: Meet up at ACE office (2900 N Fort Valley Rd, Flagstaff, AZ 86001) coffee and snacks

9:00-10:15am: Presentations followed by brief Q&A

10:15-10:30am: Load up in vans, drive to field tour starting point (transportation provided)

10:30am-12:30pm: Field tour through phase 1 mechanical/ACE hand thin from last year

12:30pm-Return to ACE headquarters
