Park Renaming and Community Celebration

Have you seen all the enhancements and additions at the Willow Bend gardens? Did you know that Sawmill Park is being renamed the Elizabeth “Liz” Archuleta Park?! Join Coconino County Parks, Willow Bend, and other county partners for a fun celebration in honor of Liz Archuleta and all the additions and improvements to the gardens and park. Free ice cream, tours of the gardens, ribbon cutting, live mariachi band, and more. Join in on the celebration – August 13th, AT 10:00AM outside of Willow Bend. 

Schedule: 

10:00-12:00PM – Dedication Ceremony (speeches)

11:30 AM – Guided Walking Tour through the Gardens, Meet at Willow Bend Environmental Center

11:30 AM – 1:00 PM –

• Children’s Activities, Outdoor Nature Classroom & Ponderosa Ramada
•  Complimentary Archuleta Ice Cream, Adjacent to Mural

11:45 AM – 1:15 PM – Mariachi Band, Mural Performance Stage

12:00 PM – “Marisol McDonald Doesn’t Match” Book Signing, Storybook Path

12:30 PM – Guided Walking Tour, Meet at Willow Bend Environmental Center
