“A Drop of Water” exhibit. In northern Arizona we depend on groundwater supplies for the water that we use in our everyday lives (drinking, cooking, irrigation, bathing.) To help understand how precious our water is, find and follow the drop of water falling from the sky as rain, infiltrating into the ground through soil and rock, and then pumped out and supplied to the community. It is a long and unlikely journey for a drop of water falling from the sky to reach the aquifer. Thank you to W.L Gore and Associates, the Flagstaff Community Foundation and its Collaborators, and private donations that have supported this project.
